Will our communities and cities get digital walls?

As cities and urban resource systems become digitized the question about how to protect them becomes important - do we need to make online defense walls to protect communities, cities and villages?  

Digital data is easily distributed,shared and copied. It is one of the main questions how to understand, view and make limits to how data and information flow.
